This also applies to certain bars that serve food. The deciding factor appears to be what percentage of your sales get attributed to food, or if you have a completely separate entrance for smokers. Some owners have complained that this has hurt their business. Some of this sentiment is shared here in the Midstate as well as in other states across the U.S. Check out the following Op-Ed piece sent in by a woman from Michigan: Okay, let me get this straight. Someone from Ithaca called into Sound Off and wants Greg Nelson to interview churchgoers on Sunday mornings about the smoking ban – why? Churches were non-smoking before the ban – voluntary.
