My husband leaves at three in the morning and gets back at seven in the evening. I have my 2 and a half year old 99 percent of the time. I basically do what your doing we do the park a lot, I go to my moms once or twice a week but she works weird hours and is in and out. We do storytime at the library and I play on yahoo answers when my toddler is asleep just to get adult interaction.

Congrats to all you stay at home moms

My wife did that also. The benefits will show up years down the road with the children. Now my daughters are doing the same. One married, taught school for 9 yrs and decided to have a family. The other one also. They have real men for husbands.
I used to warn them about marrying a man looking for a meal ticket. She works and pays the bills and he buys the toys and runs around acting like a man.
The real men take care of their families and let the moms be moms.

I am in the same boat. I have a 4 month old boy. My boyfriend works from 8-5 and gets home around 6. My family lives about 2 hours from me. Plus, one of our cars broke down so he uses mine to get to work. So, if I need the car for something I have to take him to work early in the mornings which would be about an hour and a half round trip. So it does get lonely during the day sometimes especially if you don’t have the car lol. But, it’s worth it when you have someone you love who comes home to you every night! You just have to make due with what you got.

my husband comes home from work on friday evening and has to go back on sunday afternoon/evening, he works on an oil rig and its 4 hours away from home. i just try to stay busy, cleaning, playing with the kids ( girl=9 years, boy = 5 months) runing errands to town (nearest town is 15 miles away)

I cope by having an affair with his best friend…..only joking!!
I cope by knowing and appreciate the fact that if he didn’t work long hours then I would have to go back to work and miss out on the once in a lifetime experience of my daughter’s first precious years – before education takes over and steals her from me!!
Also, if he didn’t work long hours he would probably be under my feet all the time and that wouldn’t do at all!
I’m lucky that I do live near all my family and they are a big part of my life and without them I would be very lonely, as you can probably relate to.

my hubby works about 60 hrs or more a week. I have family but I don't really like to see them much. I take a mental break when he gets home, I hide in my room. lol. I have a 7 yr old, a four year old, and one on the way. It is something I have gotten used to. It sounds like you are in a rut and feeling restless. Try to work something out where you and your hubby can do something together without your child or you can do something alone.

I stay home with my 6-month old, and hubby just started his own business last year so he’s always gone. There’s a website (www.meetup.com) that is free to join, and you search for your city/area and then your interests (such as SAHM or mom of a toddler), and they have groups that meet weekly or biweekly- there are a ton to choose from! I joined 2 stay-at-home-mom groups and we do things like go out to lunch, baby movie day, go to the park, and they even have mom’s night out sometimes! I would highly recommend it!

My hubby is in Iraq and we have a 3 year old, a 1 year old, and a baby on the way! It gets very hard to handle sometimes, so I know how you feel. Unlike you, though, I have family close by to help me out every now and then. There are some daycares that offer special rates for kids who only go like 1 or 2 days a week. that would give you a little break during the week.

I am! We run our own company so I kind of work from home doing payroll etc…but my husband works nonstop and is gone alot! We have a four month old and two dogs and it is a wonder that I do not lose my mind some days! Like you, I try and get out each day – running errands, walking aroundf the mall and playing with my daughter. I have no family where I live and so I just make the best of it! I cook alot, belong to a YMCA so I can exercise and when my baby is older, I will take her there. I figure I will meet some parents like me one day…

im in the same boat, the nly thing is that im 36 weeks pregnant with our first child. I feel awfully lonely and Im sad because my mother in law will be the only person at the hospital besides me and my hubby Time really goes by really slow…
